Anfé, is a German style Göse. The water used back then is from the Göse River, which ran through salt mines. Anfé is a special sour beer with historical ties. In ancient times, the Phoenicians built the salt marshes of Anfeh on the Northern coast of Lebanon. Staying true to this ancestral tradition, we used Mediterranean Sea salt to give our sour wheat ale a unique and distinctive taste.
Aroma and Taste: Anfé offers a medium dry sour wheat ale with a soft wine-like aroma and subtle hints of fruits. The beer has a sharp and thirst-quenching acidity that is pleasantly rounded off by a marked saltiness.
Pairing: Fresh Goat Cheese, Shrimp Ceviche, and Grilled Salty Food are excellent choices to complement Anfé. This beer has an alcohol content of 4.8%.
