The Glenfiddich 25 Year Old Rare Oak. It's drawn from a mixture of Spanish Sherry butts and American bourbon barrels, resulting in a rich, complex flavour profile. Lively Sherried spice and juicy raisin notes blend well with the chewy vanilla touches - a classic combination, and with good reason. Nose: Green apple drenched in caramel and butter, blackberry leaf (and actual blackberries, too!), lacquered oak and well-aged rum. Palate: Succulent raisins and sultanas with a drizzle of Curaçao liqueur. Hot mulled wine, gingerbread biscuits and Honey-Nut Cornflakes. Finish: Oily pine, nutmeg and a squeeze of citrus.
